Middleton St Basement + Bath

The challenge? Converting a small unfinished basement corner into a legal bedroom and full bath. We were happy to accept, knowing the project would bring tremendous value to the homeowners.

To start, we added an egress window and drain tile system with a sump pump to thwart any potential future water intrusion. While designing the new floor plan, we reconfigured the stair landing to create a small basement hallway that united the existing finished basement with the newly gained square footage.

With the full bath addition our primary goal was to maximize space. We achieved this by installing a pedestal sink, a corner shower with a sliding glass door, and strategically placed shelving for storage.

New carpet and paint throughout the entire space, as well as stain-matched doors and trim allowed this basement finishing to seamlessly blend with the aesthetic and character of the rest of the home. The end result? An additional 250 square feet of finished living space in a now three bedroom, two bath home.
